When a person eats a Low Carb, High Fat, moderate protein diet, their body will switch from a glucose burning state to a metabolic fat burning state. This process is called Ketosis, which is a normal metabolic state the body transitions to when it does not have enough glucose to use for energy. In other words, you become a Fat Burner!
In Ketosis, the body produces ketones (ketone bodies) because glucose, from the low carb intake, is used up and is not available.
No glucose available for energy? That is great because you have those ketone bodies as your fuel source for energy. I will talk more about this later, so no worries.
