I have been away from blogging for a few months, and I must say I truly miss it. My blogging will be more of my personal life journey rather than focusing strictly on Keto. So, here it goes. My new journey begins… I have moved away from my keto lifestyle, slightly. I am keeping my carbohydrate count a little higher than 20gms of carbohydrates a day. My carb count varies, but it is, on average, less than 60 to 80 grams of carbohydrates a day. I used to count my carbs from my veggies that I eat, but now I am not anymore. The vegetables are very filling and help to keep my weight in control.
My family and I plan on traveling across the country this summer, so I decided not to restrict myself to 20 grams of total carbohydrates per day. We want to enjoy the foods that are known to be famous for the states we plan to travel through. One way to stay in control with my carbohydrates is through sharing my high carb foods with my hubby and my son. My hubby has diabetes and is very good at keeping track of his carbohydrates he eats. I, other the other hand, still have to count every carb that I eat.
I still plan on keeping track of my weight, but not on a daily basis. All that does is make me frustrated. I plan on weighing myself on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. I know traveling will have an effect on my weight so I will not beat myself up when I see the scale fluctuate.
We are preparing now for the RV travel. We are gathering the things we know we will need now to travel. Having traveled last summer was a great experience, and because of it, we now know what we need to prepare for our next trip. I hope you will join me on my journey.
