~Grilling and Smokin Chicken on A Traeger~
Grilling on a Traeger
Food cooked on a grill is something our family truly loves. Picture it, (Now, I’m Sophia from the Golden Girls-lol), Oregon, 2017. Sizzling Ribeye Steaks… Seared and Sliced Portabella Mushrooms… Grilled Sweet Onions…Ahh, I can picture those wonderfully smelling good items well. These are all great foods that are amazing on the grill. We love the look of grilled food, the smell of grilled food, and the taste of grilled food. So, when our grill passed away on us this summer, we began our search for a new grill and knew it would be challenging. Why, do you say? It was because we had our eye on one grill, but it was pricier than our previous grill, so we decided to visit the local stores and look that grill along with other grills. We could not settle on one grill other than the expensive one. Just as we were ready to pay for a less expensive grill, the infomercial for the pricier one came on- the Traeger Grill.
Traeger Baked Chicken
Traeger-It Does More Than Grilling
The infomercial shows mounds of delicious food mouthwatering foods and states, you can grill, roast, bake, smoke, braise, and barbeque with this all-in-one grill. We spend a great deal of our time outside, so being outdoors and being able to bake and smoke really caught our attention. So, we bit the bullet and purchased the Traeger and decided to put it to the test. We burned a few items during the trial run, but after we got the hang of it, it was wonderful. What you see here is one of our first tests on the Traeger, a baked chicken.
All Electric and Wood Pellets
The picture does not do the chicken justice. It was golden and juicy. We did another one to see if it would come out the same and it did. We have baked cornbread, blueberry muffins, ribs, and chicken, and have smoked and grilled salmon, trout, pork chops, and Dungeness crabs. The grill is freaking fantastic. What is also amazing is that it is all electric and it uses wood pellets. We’ve never used pellets before, but they were easy to use and gave the food an amazing smoked taste. We were considering leaving it behind when traveling, but leaving it behind is not an option anymore. If you are on the fence about this grill, I can tell you, once you try it, you will love it! Traveling with the Traeger is the way to go!
